The Administrative Assistant reports to the Director/COO of Middle Cities Risk Management Services. Middle Cities Education Association is a member-driven organization dedicated to representing the needs of the urban learner in public school districts in Michigan. Part of its mission is to provide property casualty and workers compensation coverage to its member which is accomplished through the Middle Cities Risk Management and the Middle Cities Workers Compensation Group.
• Provides the general administration needs of the department, including filing, event planning, and maintaining records of the governing bodies.
• Receives and distributes insurance claims, incident reports, prepares coverage letters for claims, and maintains records of all policies. The Administrative Assistant prepares and follows up on member invoices.
• Provides services to members in follow-up to claims, incident reports, providing resolutions for trustee appointments, and produces Certificates of Insurance as needed.
• Maintains and updates the insurance records of the organization including renewal information, the property database, the vehicle records, payroll estimates, and other information needed or collected by MCRMS.
