The Associate Consultant is responsible for supporting and managing talent acquisition processes and human resource consulting assignments in multiple human resource functional areas. The incumbent will work closely on various human resources consulting projects, primarily focused on sourcing, screening, and processing applicants for client searches.  The position will also support compensation studies, position description development, job analysis, and other client projects. 

Position Responsibilities
• Works with HSLLC consultants and clients to define position requirements, draft position descriptions, prepare job postings, determine appropriate market rates, and utilize the best methods for sourcing a strong, well-qualified, and diverse candidate pool.
• Posts positions to HSLLC website, Indeed, LinkedIn, MI Works, and other outside social media sites and job posting locations.
• Evaluates credentials based on position specifications, conducts phone and onsite interviews, interprets pre-employment assessments, drafts reports detailing the candidate’s background and experience, prepares final interview questions, makes candidate recommendations to clients based on position requirements, and facilitates the final offer process.
• Participate in intake meetings with clients to gain an understanding of organizational needs for human resource consulting projects in the fields of talent management, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and personnel management among others. 
• Conducts reference checks on selected candidates and prepares summaries for client consideration.
• Assists with administering pre-employment assessments, initiating background checks and preparation of results to send to clients when needed.
• Serves as a back-up for the position responsibilities of the Client Services Consultant.
• Supports compensation study projects by developing and evaluating both internal and external equity data for market competitive salary ranges. Presents findings to HSLLC consultants and clients and assists them in the implementation of new and revised compensation systems.
• Based on position requirements, paper screens applicants that meet position qualifications and sorts them into appropriate tiers in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Complies with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.

• This position requires knowledge normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of one to three years of experience in a human resources-oriented position. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
• Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, policies, rules and regulations as it relates to Human Resources.
• Strong knowledge of Social Media and internet recruiting techniques. 
• Ability to be creative in finding qualified applicants using various means and a relentless commitment to successful outcomes. 
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work accurately and maintain close attention to detail.
• Excellent oral, written, and human relations skills.
