Commercial Loan Processing Manager

The Commercial Loan Processing Manager will be responsible for supervising the Commercial Loan Processing staff.  Working with the Vice President & Loan Operations Officer, they will develop staff and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.  In addition to their supervisory role, they will be expected to manage a closing processing pipeline.  

Position Responsibilities
• Perform the duties of a Commercial Loan Processor II with a high level of proficiency.
• Establishes and monitors performance objectives for direct subordinates, conducts performance appraisals using supportive documentation and follows-up with employees.
• Mentor and trains staff.
• Working with the Vice President and Loan Operations Officer will be responsible for staff development, performance improvement and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Is knowledgeable about and follows all bank policies, procedures, and written instructions; disseminates and explains them to employees under their supervision. Presents changes to policies and procedures positively and constructively.
• Oversees staff schedules.
• Monitors staff completion of internal training (i.e. ABA, Wombat).
• Promotes teamwork and open communication within the Unit and within the bank as a whole.
• Performs most complex transactions independently.
• Portrays overall professional behavior whenever conducting bank business.
• Completes all internal training assignments in a timely manner.
• Completes the Bank’s Leadership Academy.
• Completes other tasks as assigned by Vice President & Loan Operations Officer.

• Associate’s degree in a business curriculum desired or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ experience in a commercial/business lending related position with a financial institution with strong knowledge and understanding of the commercial loan process and documentation for various types of loans and business types.
• Prior experience in employee supervision desired.

• Knowledge and experience with operating a computer, calculator, and other general office equipment.
