Healthy Consumer Physical Therapy is an established outpatient clinic specializing in the treatment of complex conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD), chronic pain, and dysautonomia, seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team. This role follows a one-patient-per-hour model with no overlapping appointments, allowing for thoughtful, individualized, and patient-centered care. The selected candidate will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, guide exercise progression, and support patients in building confidence and long-term self-management strategies.
Healthy Consumer Physical Therapy offers a collaborative and supportive environment that emphasizes clinical reasoning, communication, and meaningful patient outcomes over volume. This position includes structured onboarding, mentorship, and direct collaboration with the clinic owner. Ideal candidates will be licensed Physical Therapist Assistants in Michigan. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Healthy Consumer Physical Therapy values professional development. There is also a $1,500 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at 3, 6, and 12 months).
Position Responsibilities
• Provide individualized treatment under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist in accordance with Michigan law.
• Implement and appropriately progress established plans of care.
• Guide patients through exercise progression, pacing strategies, and functional movement.
• Support patients in developing confidence, independence, and long-term self-management.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and plan adjustments.
• Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
